It may be heading towards cold and flu season in Melbourne, but it's not just humans that needing a helping hand when they're unwell.
Dr Glenn Edwards, from the University of Melbourne's Faculty of Veterinary Science is an experienced veterinary surgeon with a passion for zoo animals. Dr Edwards was recently called to the Melbourne Zoo to complete surgery on a 32 year old orangutan who had a growth on her backside.
Visions was given exclusive access to the surgery, and in this episode we take you behind the scenes with Dr Edwards to give you an idea of what it is like to be a zoo animal surgeon.
