Episode 7

In this episode we will look at how the University is trying to boost the population of Victoria’s threatened squirrel gliders. We will also travel to the Victorian Arts Centre to look at an exhibition that draws on University research into family life in the circus.

More information

Circus Diaries:
The Circus Diaries exhibition is on show in the George Adams Gallery at the Victorian Arts Centre until 15 July. For more information about The Circus Diaries, go to http://theartscentre.net.au and http://thecircusdiaries.com.au.

Animal Freeway Overpass:
Researchers from the Australian Research Centre for Urban Ecology (ARCUE) based at the Royal Botanic Gardens, University of Melbourne, Monash University and VicRoads have concentrated on finding out how, where and why animals cross the Hume Highway. This three year project has culminated in the rope bridge and glider poles being installed along the road near Benalla to allow a means for squirrel gliders, possums and other native animals to safely cross.
