Welcome to a very special edition of Visions. August 19 marks the day that the university opens up its gates to potential students and interested newcomers to see just what the University of Melbourne has to offer. So why not join us on a virtual walking tour of the Parkville campus and see just some of the sights that will be available for viewing on Open Day.
Open Day Preview and University Cultural Collections:
August 19 is the first chance many future students will have to get first hand information on the Melbourne Model and its new degrees. The university has developed the Melbourne Model to help provide the best possible preparation to students for their future challenges in a global society.
This year’s Open Day is not only about getting course advice, admission details and learning about the “Melbourne Experience”, it is a great chance to check out the cultural collections that are located around the campus. These rich collections of artworks, archives, rare books scientific equipment and specimens help to illustrate the University of Melbourne’s 150 year heritage.
