Scientists at the University of Melbourne and the Royal Melbourne Hospital have discovered the cells that cause a common type of childhood leukaemia – T cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (T-ALL). Targeting of these cells may lead to improved treatments for this disease and help prevent relapse.
An extended interview with Dr Matthew McCormack from the University's Department of Medicine is available at http://newsroom.melbourne.edu/studio/ep-66.
